Community Based Victim Services

“My first meeting with EFry & the many that followed saved my life. I was at such a low point emotionally & physically. I had lost myself.

I can attest that with the support of EFry, I’ve been able to piece my life back together & now help other women who are experiencing what I have.”

“I now know that I am not alone in that once completely dark world.

Not only do I have new tools, I have a support team I can turn to when the tools I have fail me.”

Our Victim Service workers provide support and referrals to those affected by sexual assault, intimate partner violence, as well as child abuse and neglect. Some of the services we provide but are not limited to are:

  • Support with Crime Victim Assistance Applications (CVAP)

  • Support with Victim Impact Statements

  • Court support / Accompaniment to court and police

  • Crisis response, risk assessment and safety planning

  • Practical, mental and emotional support to adult and child victims of family and sexual violence for all victims of family/sexual violence.

A branch of our Community Based Victim Services (CBVS) is the Specialized Domestic Violence Unit (DVU). This program works in collaboration with the RCMP, MCFD and sister agencies to better assist survivors of the most serious intimate partner crimes.

Additionally, our Women’s Outreach Program provide services to female identifying individuals affected by intimate partner violence and sexual abuse/assault. We work alongside our clients to help identify and meet their needs and goals including counselling, safe housing and advocacy.
